How much would the Lunar Rover go for at auction?

Let's face it the Lunar Rover is an engineering marvel. Not only did traverse the moon. The designers managed to integrate fabulous lawn chair seats, they really highlight the lines of the vehicle. Unfortunately the Rover is lost to the moon, however if it somehow came home what would a greedy person pay for it? Don't say it is priceless that is cheating. My best bet is somewhere around 100,000,000 dollars. It really is that special I think.

A hell of a lot. There's rarity, history, immense cost to get it here. If I was a billionaire I'd want it.

I think at a billion it would be out of the reach of a lot of people. Too many people. So I think you are right.

I think as an American billionaire you would have to buy it so that a prized piece of American history does not go onto foreign soil.

No one is that crazy. Has anything ever sold for a billion dollars that wasn't bought by the government?

*They bring the car to Villa D'este. The judges gather over it.*

"One owner, less than 10 miles on the odometer. +20. The painting is sun-faded. -10. It's completely dusty. -5. The tires are cracked, but original. -2. The upholstery was replaced with beach chairs, that must be a joke. -20. It's unique and very special. +60. But doesn't have a Ferrari logo. -50.

It's certainly special and that is of great value. But anyone paying more than 157,200.00 must be insane. It's not even a Ferrari or has gullwings."

*The judges laugh and drink another glass of champagne while going to the Ferrari next to it and masturbate all over it*

I'm British though so I'd be stealing it from American hands and bringing it here.

about the same, 35-55 million. I figured the GTO is the benchmark for collectible vehicles. Elon would buy it I bet

If it ever came back to earth, a certain Monster Energy sponsored racing division would swoop in to purchase it, soup up the electric drive train, and take it off road

The Hoonar Rover, one small flick for hoon, one giant drift for hoonkind

I didn't even think about a nation stealing it or messing with the artifacts. I would say it needs to be preserved. This is just as important as the Colosseum , Great Wall of China, The Pyramids. Maybe even more important.

The construction and design of it was a bit of a collaboration between NASA and various American companies such as Boeing and GM.

This has been another random fact.

Don’t forget get to clear it with the property owner. Some yahoo sells moon real estate and people really buy it. That’s also if the moon nazis haven’t claimed them.
